the occasion of BRIGHT 2019
The "BRIGHT 2019: The Researchers' Night" in Tuscany was held on September 27, 2019, with numerous scientific dissemination activities of the world of research to citizens in the centers and streets and squares of the historic center of all the cities involved, with information desks and workshops open to citizens who can meet and talk to researchers, appreciate their competence and passion and know the positive impact that the results of their work have on the quality of Life.
In Pisa, the BRIGHT 2019 program included a map of events divided by thematic areas that connects the universities and research institutes promoting the initiative: University of Pisa, Scuola Normale Superiore, Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna, CNR, INGV and INFN.
To underline the connection between the many research locations in Pisa, a city of research par excellence, the activities have been organized in 6 thematic areas:
What a Wonderful World/ Health4All/New Technology, Make it Real!/ European Year of Cultural Heritage/ Food Sustainability and the Climate Change/ European Paths.
The areas, as every year, have affected the streets of the center up to the San Cataldo Area (CNR – Department of Chemistry and Industrial Chemistry), passing through the museums of the University up to Calci. At each "stop" of the subway, visitors could meet the real protagonists of BRIGHT, the researchers, who told and explained to the public their work and their research.
The CNR-IRET had an info desk set up to illustrate the LIFE Zeowine Project and its relationship and relevance in relation to issues such as soil and biodiversity protection.
